TADAA!

Here's the new layout :)
It's pretty simple, but I'll be tweaking it a bit over time.

So, New Moon was released last night in Australia!
I won't get to see it for a few weeks though 'cause I live 2 hours from the nearest cinema! D:

I'm not expecting to much out of it. No movie can ever be as great as the book & I've heard that there are parts that stray too far from the book...

To be honest, I'm mostly looking forward to this:

:D

Like the nerd I am, I was watching the morning news and, of course, New Moon had completely taken over the TV screen. Sunrise showed an interview with Miley Cyrus who was slamming the Saga, expressing how much she dislikes the Twilight Phenomenon, even though she hadn't read any of the books or seen the movie.

I have to be honest, I used to think in the same way as Miley. Everybody was talking about Twilight and how great it was and I guess it was the hype that turned me off it. But once I read the books and gave it a chance, I discovered something truly amazing.

I'm more of a fan of the books rather than the movies. Sure, the movies are good, but I love using my imagination and I believe you get a better perspective of how Bella thinks, feels and reacts in the books.

I always find myself complaining about the way they've done the movies as how they don't always stay true to the book. I understand why they do that, but, long story short, I still think the books are way better than the movies, in any case. Always.

Needless to say, I'm still very excited to see the movie in a few weeks :D.

What do you think of the Twilight Saga?

Arrghhh! Major lack of updates...

I've officially finished school, forever :)
And I've been terribly busy with work, I start my traineeship next week!
So, with a week to spare I'll be updating more regularly, with wonderful posts :)
I'm working on a brand spankin' new layout too.

Sorry for the boring post.

Vegan Cupcake Recipe!
2:25 PM | Tuesday, November 10, 2009
For the record, I'm not vegan. But I was vegetarian for 9 months :). Finding out I was lactose intolerant was...annoying for the most-part. No more chocolate. Ever. Living in a teeny tiny town means that I can't access vegan chocolate either. Meh. So, I went in search for the perfect vegan cupcake recipe, and I think I've found it :D.

Vegan Cupcakes

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups wholemeal self raising flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tblsp glucose syrup (derived from corn/wheat)
1 tsp bi-carb soda
2 tsp vanilla essence
5 tblsp olive oil
1 cup cold water

Method:
Combine dry ingredients
In a seperate bowl, combine wet ingredients (except glucose syrup)
Combine mixed wet & dry ingredients
Beat (by hand with wooden spoon) to smooth consistency
add glucose syrup, beat well with wooden spoon
bake in cupcake tin/cases for 8-12 mins at 180 degrees Celsius

Important!! You must keep a close eye on these as they burn easy. Depending on the size of your oven, cooking times will vary

Optional: add 3 tblsp cocoa if desired

and finally......................

Decorate! They look TONS better, no matter your decorating skills

Before decorating.

After decorating. They are far from professional, but cute nonetheless ^.^
